Q1: What is the Organizational Performance Leadership Standard (OPLS)?

The Organizational Performance Leadership Standard (OPLS) developed by JBLI is the guiding principle that enables organizations to become Organizational Performance Leadership-Compliant Organizations (OPL-CO). This standard provides a structured approach of 6Ps (Plan, Parts, Processes, Place, Performance, and People) and 5Ds (Diagnose, Development, Deployment, Dashboards, and Deviation Checks) to embedding Organizational Performance Leadership principles into the organizational DNA. By adhering to OPL Standard, organizations build a robust, performance-driven framework that aligns with strategic objectives, promotes accountability, and fosters an environment conducive to sustainability and growth.

Q2: What are the Benefits of OPLS?

The Organizational Performance Leadership Standard (OPLS) offers several key benefits:

  1. Strategic Alignment: Ensures that an organization’s plans, structures, and processes align with its long-term vision and yearly goals (financial and non-financial).
  2. Enhanced Credibility: Certification as an OPL-Compliant Organization (OPL-CO) elevates an organization’s market reputation as a high-performing and trusted entity.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Streamlines workflows and fosters accountability through the implementation of the 6Ps and 5Ds framework.
  4. Performance Optimization: Provides clear job descriptions, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance dashboards, ensuring consistent employee contributions towards organizational objectives.
  5. Workplace Culture: Builds a supportive and engaging culture, aligning tangible and intangible elements to boost productivity and innovation.
  6. Talent Development: Enhances talent acquisition and development strategies to create a capable workforce aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Encourages regular audits and feedback to ensure sustainable growth and adaptation to changing market dynamics.

Q3: What is the Audit Process, and Who Will Do It?

The audit process involves the following steps:

  1. Pre-Audit Assessment: The organization conducts an internal self-assessment to identify gaps in OPLS compliance.
  2. External Annual Audit: Conducted by JBLI-certified auditors after 12 months of registration, assessing the organization’s adherence to the OPLS framework (6Ps and 5Ds).
  3. Quarterly Audits (Optional): JBLI auditors may conduct quarterly checks to ensure ongoing compliance with the client’s audit request.

The audits are conducted by JBLI-certified auditors, who are qualified professionals trained in evaluating adherence to the OPLS framework.

Q4: How will the OPLS audit be conducted?

The OPLS audit will be conducted entirely online and offsite. JBLI auditors will initiate the process by providing the OPL Department with a comprehensive audit checklist for self-assessment. Once the self-assessment is completed, the auditors will schedule and execute the audit on a defined date using advanced Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). These technologies will facilitate data collection, virtual interactions, document sharing, and performance evaluations, ensuring a seamless and thorough audit process while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Q5: Which Organization will Issue the Standard Compliance Certificate?

The Jibran Bashir Leadership Institute (JBLI) will issue the Organizational Performance Leadership Compliant Organization (OPL-CO) Certification.

  • This certification signifies that an organization has successfully implemented and adheres to the OPLS framework.
  • JBLI also provides a Certificate of Appreciation to organizations meeting their annual financial and non-financial goals, further enhancing their recognition.
